Big cheers to the SHS Varsity Volleyball who charged into BV last night for a big win in 3! We are #spartanproud! Salida hosts the BV varsity football team tonight in the big rivalry game. We ask for your presence and support for the Spartans as we cheer for victory. Remember we "Cheer for the Spartans, and not against anyone else." To help establish this, fan signs will not be allowed at the game. Good luck tonight! Go Spartans!

NEW Salida Athletics Website
In addition to a new salidaschools.com website, the Activities and Athletics team of Marko Hahn and Cassie Luttrell introduced a new website dedicated to Spartan athletics - SalidaAthletics.com. This site includes all the latest updates, schedules, a link to the registration system, and the NFHS Network where you can find live feeds of our Spartans in action. They will continue to add content and information as the year goes on.
Registration for Student Athletes
All student athletes must register on Arbiter Sports (formerly FamilyID). Students must also have current physical on file before they are allowed to participate in practice or competitions. Students interested in winter and spring sports are welcome to register in advance, which will allow coaches to stay in touch with athletes in advance.
Photographers Capturing Memories in ’24-‘25
There are two photographers supporting our athletics programs this year. Vibrant Valley Photography is doing all SHS and SMS team and individual sports photos. If parents have registered their athletes on Arbiter Sports, they will receive an email with order info directly from the photographer. Carrie Mattix with Mountain Air Photography is our Spartan Action Photographer this year and she will be at many of our sporting and performing arts events. We are excited to have their talent and enthusiasm on the team!
Season Passes
Spartan fans are invited to purchase a season pass that is good for all SHS and SMS regular season home games for the entire school year! Passes can be purchased for $20 for students and $40 for adults at the SHS front office.
Catch Live Action Spartan Athletics
NFHS Channel: All contests held in the Main HS Gym and in Spartan Stadium are live streamed on the NFHS Network. It is a great way for our fans to watch the Spartans from anywhere from across the country, and does require a subscription
92.3 The Peak: For those wanting to listen to Salida Spartans in action, the home varsity basketball games are broadcast on Heart of the Rockies Radio on 92.3 The Peak, or occasionally 104 Eagle Country.
Finally, I want to encourage all fans to remember we cheer for the Spartans and NOT against our opponents.
