New students are expected to participate in a "disorientation" at the start of each semester to learn about the HEA experience and get to know their teachers and peers.

All students must participate in Walkabout Night each semester. Any community members, students, etc. are welcome to come see projects presented by HEA students about what they’ve learned each semester. 

Horizons Exploratory Academy students are invited to participate in sports, clubs and activities at Salida High School. SHS hosts a wide-variety of extra-curricular opportunities, and HEA students are welcome to participate. Click here for a full list of available activities.
