On November 8 all Salida High Schools students will be completing the Healthy Kids Colorado Survey. The information gathered, which will be completely anonymous, will help our county to look at health-related attitudes and behaviors, including: unintentional injuries and violence; mental health; school safety and physical fighting; tobacco and other substance use; physical activity and nutrition; basic demographic information such as age; and risk and protective factors.
Our schools and community benefit from this data because it can help bring funding into our state and local communities, as well as the support necessary for developing healthier learning environments through school health education policies and prevention programs.
All SHS students were given a parent letter on October 23. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us!
